Aditya was born the elder son of veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra and his wife Pamela. Influenced by his father’s career, his interest in film started from an early age. Aditya started his schooling at the Bombay Scottish School, and he eventually graduated from Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce and Economics. However, he began his career as an assistant to his father in “Chandni”, “Lamhe(Moments)” and “Darr(Fear)”, and directed his first film, the multipl-awarded “The Brave-Hearted Will Take Away the Bride”, at the age of 23.
