Andrew – of Irish, German and English ancestry from his father’s side, and Polish from his mother’s – grew up in his hometown with four siblings. He went to Our Lady of Lourdes grade school, then Creighton Prep, an all-boys Catholic school in Omaha.

From an early age, Andrew was drawn to performing arts, and in order to become closer to his artistic side, Andrew attended Emmy Gifford Children’s Theater, and made a couple of appearances at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Dundee Dinner Theatre and Firehouse Dinner Theatre; being just 11 years old, Andrew made his first official appearances in a play.

In 1997 he moved to New York City in order to pursue his career, and also further his studies at Marymount Manhattan College. He started as a voice actor, lending his voice to Steex, and Shrimp Louie in the TV series “Street Sharks”, and continued on firstly in the TV series “Archie’s Weird Mysteries” in 1999 and then with 4Kids Entertainment, plus English dubbing for such animated series as “Yu-Gi-Oh”, “Shaman King”, and “One Piece”, among others.

Andrew continued to work as a voice actor throughout his career, giving voice to characters from a number of animated series and films, including “Fighting Cooking Legend Bistro Recipe”, “Funky Cops”, “F-Zero GP Legend”, “Big Mouth”, and “Sofia the First”, all of which added to his net worth.

His stage career started in 2000, when he portrayed James in the play “Pokémon Live!”, but he had to wait until 2011 to make an impact with the role of Elder Price in the play “The Book of Mormon”, and then in 2015 played King George III in the play “Hamilton”, and most recently played Whizzer in the play “Falsettos”, for which he earned a Tony Award- nomination in the category for the Best Performance by Featured Actor in a Musical.

When it comes to his career on screen, in 2012 he started portraying Elijah Krantz in the TV comedy series “Girls”, while from 2012 to 2013, Andrew played Brian Collins in the TV romantic comedy series “The New Normal”. In 2015, Andrew appeared in the comedy-drama film “The Intern”, starring Al Pacino, Anne Hathaway and Renne Russo, and is now working on the television comedy film “Ball Street”, next to Geoff Stults, Don Cheadle and Regina Hall, however, the film is yet to receive its release date.

When it comes to his personal life, Andrew is openly gay, coming out when he was 18 years old. He was in a relationship with actor, producer and screenwriter Mike Doyle from 2011 until 2017, but he is currently single.
