Anjelah Johnson Net Worth $500,000
Anjelah Johnson is of Mexican and Native American descent, and grew up in a large and devout Christian family with four siblings; two of her siblings are known in the media, Kennie Johnson and Veronica Johnson. As a young child, she was engaged in sports such as softball, soccer and track, while taking classes in hip-hop and breakdancing. When she was eight years old, she was a “Pop Warner Little Scholars” cheerleader, then in 2002 she became a cheerleader for the Oakland Raider, and received an award as a “Rookie of the Year”.
In 2005 Anjelah moved to Los Angeles, where she started pursuing a career in comedy, doing stand-up comedy shows on her own writing. After her viral video “Nail Salon” in which she portrayed a Vietnamese nail salon employee, she had many television and film opportunities, and around that time she joined the cast of “MADtv” series in 2007-08. She portrayed two characters; one of them became an internet sensation, the disgruntled fast food employee with no filter Bon Qui Qui. As Bon Qui Qui she recorded studio album “Gold Plated Dreams”, eventually released through theWarner Music Nashville in January 2015. In 2008 Johnson was nominated for an Alma Award for Outstanding Female Performance in a Comedy Television Series for her work in MADtv. Johnson recorded three more comedy stand-up specials, first for Comedy Central and Warner Bros “That’s How We Do It”, secondly “Homecoming Snow” filmed in San Jose California for Netflix, and finally “Anjelah Johnson: Not Fancy”, filmed in southern California also for Netflix.
Johnson has appeared in multiple ads and commercials, including campaigns for Visa, Snickers, Verizon, All-State, and Dryers Ice Cream, which only increased her wealth to a large degree. She was a spokeswoman for the Texas-based restaurant chain, Taco Cabana in 2011 and for the national campaign “Don’t be an S.O.V.” in 2012. Johnson has also guest starred on shows such as “Ugly Betty” (2010), “The Shield”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and many others.
Regarding her personal life, Anjelah Johnson has been married to Manwell Reyes a member of Christian hip-hop band Group 1 Crew since 2011; according to Johnson, the couple does not want children.
