Anna-Lou Leibovitz was born on 2nd October 1949, in Waterbury, Connecticut USA, and is a portrait photographer, perhaps best known to the world for photographing legendary musician John Lennon on the day of his murder. Annie is of Jewish ancestry, since her parents were Romanian Jews. She is one of six children born to Marilyn Edith and her husband Samuel Leibovitz. She even spent time in the Philippines during the Vietnam War, and is where she took her first pictures.
