Anthony Zuiker Net Worth $150 million
Zuiker’s family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, when he was still a baby, being raised by a casino worker mother and hotel employee father. There he attended Chaparral High School, matriculating in 1986. He then enrolled at Arizona State University in Tempe, transferring to the University of La Verne in La Verne, California, after three years. He finished his college education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Zuiker worked as a tram driver in Las Vegas when he first got the idea for developing his own television series, which would become the most watched show in the world. He began to write the story during the ’90s, dreaming of success and fame. His dreams soon came true, as his script reached the producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who saw great potential in it, securing a deal with Touchstone Pictures. After being rejected by ABC, Fox and NBC, the story was picked up by CBS and began airing in 2000. Starring William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Ted Danson, Laurence Fishburne and Elisabeth Shue, the show focused on the adventures of a Crime Scene Investigative Unit within the Las Vegas Police Department. It aired for 15 seasons, until 2015. “CSI” drew critical acclaim and audience attention from its first season, becoming the network’s top-rated show and holding that spot for years to come. Zuiker’e net worth was certainly boosted.
In 2002 he co-created a spin-off called “CSI: Miami”, which aired for 10 seasons, meantime in 2004 he co-created another spin-off, “CSI: NY”, which airied for nine seasons. He also created the “CSI: Cyber” spin-off, which lasted for two seasons in 2015-2016. Whereas the first two spin-offs focused on the forensic team unveiling the circumstances behind mysterious deaths, the third concentrated on the appliance of behavioral psychology to cyber forensics. The “CSI” franchise became a global phenomenon, a huge hit both critically and commercially, which enabled Zuiker to reach a high level of popularity in the world of entertainment, and to earn an astonishing fortune. Being aired in hundreds of episodes, the show reached a Guinness World Record. It received a number of nominations and awards, including six Primetime Emmy Awards and four People’s Choice Awards.
Aside from “CSI”, Zuiker has also been involved in other projects; he wrote the 1999 film “The Runner” and the 2007 television film “The Man”, and contributed to the writing of the 2009 film “Terminator Salvation”. In 2012 he created and executive produced the web series “Cybergeddon” a cyber-thriller film for Yahoo, and the anthology film series “Anthony Zuiker Presents” on YouTube channel BlackBoxTV. The following year he created the reality TV murder mystery series “Whodunnit?”, which ran for one season on ABC in 2013. All contributed to his net worth.
Zuiker has also written a digital novel series with Duane Swierczynski, pioneering the ‘digi-novel’ genre. The series includes the 2009 book “Level 26: Dark Origins”, the 2010 “Level 26: Dark Prophecy” and the 2011 “Level 26: Dark Revelations”. He has also released a memoir “Mr. CSI: How a Vegas Dreamer Made a Killing in Hollywood, One Body at a Time”. His writing career has been another source of his wealth, which continues with Zuiker in currently involved in writing the Broadway musical “Soul Train”.
When it comes to his private life, Zuiker has married twice, firstly in 1999 to Jennifer with whom he has three children, before divorce in 2012. As of 2013, he has been married to Michelle.
