Born Arthur Paul Alexakis on the 12th April 1962, in Los Angeles, California USA, he is a musician/guitarist, singer and composer, probably best known to the world as the founder of the grunge rock band Everclear. Apart from Everclear, Art has also performed with numerous other bands and musicians, including The Easy Hoes and Colorfinger, among others. His career has been active since the 1980s.

Art`s childhood was rough; his father left him, his mother, brother and three sisters, which forced them to move to the Mar Vista Gardens housing projects in California, near Culver City.
