Asher Roth grew up in the suburbs of Morrisville, the son of David Roth, who is the executive director of a design company, and Elizabet, a yoga instructor. After being educated at Pennsbury High School, he continued his studies at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania. During his studies, he began producing music, as he recorded his own sequence over popular songs by other artists. He posted his own profile on MySpace, and his debut single entitled “I Love College” and some other recorded tracks. Soon after, he was noticed by Scooter Braun, an Atlanta-based music agent, and Asher eventually signed with Braun’s Schoolboy records and Universal Records as a joint venture.

Soon after he signed his first professional contract, Roth began recording his first official release, a mixtape, entitled “Greenhouse Effect Vol 1” (2008), which was produced by DJ Drama and Don Cannon. The same year, it was announced that Roth would appear on the cover of the XXL’s annual Freshman Class, alongside other rappers such as Kid Cudi, Charles Hamilton, Ace Hood and Curren$y.

His debut single was released in January of 2009, entitled “I Love College”, which immediately became a hit, increasing his popularity and also his net worth. The single reached 12th place on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated twice for MTV Video Music Awards.

The same year, Asher released his debut album, entitled “Asleep in the Bread Aisle”, awhich reached 5th place on the Billboard Top 200, selling over 65,000 copies in its first week. The album also features collaborations with popular artists such as Cee-Lo Green and Busta Rhymes and also the hip hop group New Kingdom.

After the release, Asher went on a tour alongside rapper Kid Cudi and B.o.B, and he later joined the group Blink 182. Following the end of the tour, Roth released his second mixtape, entitled “Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry” in March 2010, and soon after began recording his next studio album. However, he joined with record producer Nottz, and instead of a full length album, Asher released an EP, entitled “The Rawth EP”, which also contributed to his net worth. In 2012 he left Schoolboy Records, and signed a contract with Federal Prism.

To speak further of his career, Asher has released one more full length album, entitled “RetroHash”, in April 2014, which debuted in 45th place on the Billboard 200 chart. Roth has also released two more mixtapes “Pabst and Jazz”, and “Greenhouse Effect Vol 2”.

Additionally to this, in 2013 Roth has appeared in the movie called “$50K and a Call Girl: A Love Story” as himself, adding a little to his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, little is known about Asher Roth in the media, except the fact that he approves of using cannabis and marijuana, but he is against smoking cigarettes. Clearly, he is a unique person who is very devoted to his career which will increase further his overall net worth.
