Aviva Teichner was born on 17 November 1972, in Manhattan, New York City USA, but is best known as the reality TV personality Aviva Drescher, who appeared in the popular “Real Housewives of New York” (RHONY) series on the Bravo TV channel.
So just how rich is Aviva Drescher, as of early 2018? Authoritative sources have estimated that Aviva’s net worth is more than $20 million, accumulated largely from her TV appearances, and possibly in sharing her husband’s wealth.

Aviva’s father, George Teichner, was a relatively wealthy investment banker, and her mother was German and a model. Aviva suffered a serious accident when she was six years old, and her left leg had to be amputated, not that this hampered her very much at all. She attended Vasser College from where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, and later also studied at New York University, earning a Master’s degree in French language, followed later by completing her Juris Doctorate at Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law.
Aviva’s working life is somewhat hazy, as there is no record of her practicing law, but her rather less-than-private personal life has been interesting, which was revealed during her appearances on RHONY, beginning in season five in 2012. She had been married to Harry Dubin – a real estate entrepreneur and banker – with whom she has two children, but they divorced in 2005 after his alleged numerous infidelities came to light; apparently he was well known ‘about town’ for his lifestyle.
Aviva subsequently met and eventually married Reid Drescher, a relatively wealthy hedge fund manager, who also has an estimated net worth valued at over $20 million, which one suspects is now shared jointly with his wife; Reid also appears occasionally on RHONY. Today Aviva is known as a reality TV personality, and also as a housewife as she has two more children with Reid.
Aviva joined RHONY at the same time as Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radzwill, as the show was being revamped in response to falling viewer numbers. Interestingly Aviva is the only cast member who was actually born and raised in New York City. She certainly contributed to the desired effect, when in an episode filmed in a restaurant, a heated argument broke out centred around what other cast members described as Aviva’s fake illness – asthma – and disability, which resulted in Aviva detaching her prosthetic and slamming it on the table before hurling it across the restaurant. The incident was later revealed to be staged, but still provided interesting television.
Aviva took part in seasons five and six of RHONY before she left the cast, for reasons which are unclear. She subsequently published her book “Leggy Blonde”, in February 2014 and produced her ‘all natural anti-anxiety supplement’, “Tranquil Day,” the following month, both of which no doubt boosted her net worth.
Aviva is also known as a philanthropist, working as the National Spokesperson for One Step Ahead and CAF organizations helping amputees. She also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Cancer Schmancer/Trash Cancer, and contributes to the Live4Life Foundation.
