Bart attended the University of Miami, graduating with a double major in Film/Video and Art. Unlike a lot of parodies, Bart became well known for focusing on pointing out wrong things in lyrics or music videos. He started his channel in 2006, and after growing the channel for three years was invited to become a YouTube partner. Originally, he would ask other performers to sing the songs, and would only make cameo appearances in his videos. He then started performing the songs himself, but collaborating with friends and other YouTubers. Two years later he was given a contract with Maker Studios, and commuted to Los Angeles before finally deciding to settle there in 2012. The following year, he reached a million subscribers and his channel has been growing ever since; he also reached a billion views on his channel in November 2014. Some of his most popular parodies include “Katy Perry – Dark Horse”, “Miley Cyrus – Wrecking Ball”, and “Nicki Minaj – Anaconda”. His net worth was rising steadily.
Due to the nature of his songs, a lot of fans and artists tend to send negative comments on his channel to defend the original artists. These led to a series in the channel called “Butthurt Comments”, on which Bart announces negative, funny, and fake hating comments. Other hit songs that he’s worked on include “Big Old Pubes”, “California Boys”, “Sexy and I’m Homeless” and “Call Me, Maybe”. In January 2015, his channel hit the five million subscriber mark.
Bart has received a lot of recognition for his videos and has been featured in “YouTube Rewind” for three years. He’s also received numerous nominations in the “Streamy Awards” and “AdWeek”.
For his personal life, it is known that Bart has been in a relationship with host Shira Lazar of “What’s Trending” since 2014, who’s appeared in several videos. Bart is also known to own a BMW X5 which also makes various appearances. He also does some of his parodies as collaborations to help various charitable groups such as F#ck Cancer, in which he participates because of his mother having breast cancer when he was younger. A lot of his friends have also been victims of the disease, which has led to Bart’s continuous support.
