Benjamin is the son of actress Sherry Brewer and the former CEO of Warner Music Group Edgar Bronfman Jr., and lived in London briefly with his family, returning to New York in 1984. He attended The Collegiate School and matriculated in 2000, then attended Emerson College to study Politics and Law, but dropped out.
Bronfman became the guitarist for the indie punk/reggae rock band called The Exit. He started the band with Jeff DaRosa in 2000 while at Emerson College, and went by the name Ben Brewer to avoid any association with his father. The band continued to play well and had success which increased his net worth. He provided the vocals for the band and they released their first album called “New Beat”. They started touring, and their songs would receive good reviews.
