He is a professional boxer who previously fought in the category of middleweight boxers and later moved up to the light heavyweight division. As of the data 26th October, 2013, Hopkins is the oldest boxer to have defended his world title after defeating Karo Murat. On the 19th April, 2014 Hopkins improved his above mentioned records and became the oldest fighter who unified the titles of world champion after victory over Beibut Shumenov. On the whole, Hopkins has had 66 fights, winning 55 of them, 32 by KO. The professional boxer experienced only 7 losses as 2 ended in draw and 2 ended ‘no contest’.
