Bill Engvall Net Worth $40 Million

To give some background information, Bill was raised in Galveston, Texas, attending Richardson High School, and later studied to be a teacher at Southwestern University, but didn’t graduate . He was regarded as a hardworking person, as while being a student he did some jobs as a tour guide, disc jockey among others. Whilst working as a DJ, he also became involved in stand-up comedy, which later evolved into a very successful career that turned out to be financially very profitable, and added millions into the net worth of Bill Engvall.

Since 1990, Bill has dedicated his life to comedy. He rose to fame hosting the comedy show entitled “A Pair of Jokers” (1990) alongside Rosie O’Donnell. Later, he hosted “An Evening at The Improv” (1991), “The Tonight Show” (1991) as well as “The Late Show with David Letterman” (1991). A huge step forward was made after Engvall won an American Comedy Award as the Best Male Standup. This was as a proof that the actor was on the right way towards a successful and profitable career. In 1993, Engvall was invited to take the main role in the television series “Delta”, aired on ABC channel. Later, he appeared in a number of television series and shows, usually as a guest star, as well as performing in night clubs. All contributed steadily to his net worth.

In 1996, Bill released his first album “Here’s Your Sign” (1996) which peaked in 5th position on Billboard Top Country Albums and the 3rd position on Billboard Top Heatseekers in the USA, and which was also certified platinum according to sales in the USA. His second studio album “Dorkfish” (1998) was certified gold and rose to 16th position on Billboard Top Country Albums. Later, the artist released several other studio albums although they could not repeat the success of the first two. In 2000, Engvall launched a comedy troupe that featured Bill with three other members: Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. They toured for six years through the USA starting in Omaha, Nebraska and ending in Washington D.C. The troupe experienced huge success, following up with a number of DVD and film releases which, needless to say, increased the net worth of Bill Engvall considerably. In 2011, Engvall got back to hosting – the game show “Lingo”, which aired on GSN. In 2013, Bill took part in the “Dancing with the Stars” competition in which he managed to reach the finals and finished in 4th position. All these projects added to his net worth.

Finally, in the personal life of the comedian, he has been married to Gail Engvall since 1982. They have a daughter and a son, and the family resides in southern California.
