Concerning his college career, Kimble averaged 12.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 28 games of the first season. After passing the 1986 – 1987 season without playing, due to the NCAA rules for college – changing students, the couple signed with Loyola Marymount Lions, and Kimble averaged 35.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in his third and final season at LMU, with 122.4 points per game of the team and with 54 points as a personal game record. He was also a member of the Connecticut Pride (1995), La Crosse Bobcats (1996 – 1997) and Yakima Sun Kings (1997 – 1998) of the Continental Basketball Association.
In addition to playing basketball, Kimble portrayed the basketball player Matthew Lockhart in the drama “Heaven is a Playground” (1991), whose characteristic traits and behaviour were very reminiscent of the real Kimble.
