Boo Weekley Net Worth $4 Million

Boo Weekley grew up in Florida, and studied turf-grass science at the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, but dropped out a year later after being unsuccessful in school, and returned home. There, Weekley worked as a hydro blaster at the Monsanto chemical plant in Pensacola, Florida, serving as a cleaner of the large ammonia tanks.

Having played golf while at college, Weekley turned professional in 1997 and debuted on the Developmental Players Tour in Atlanta, Georgia. He competed on mini-tours until 2002, when he entered the PGA Tour. After making the cut in only four out of 24 events in 2002, Boo lost his card, and spent some time on the Nationwide Tour, from 2003 to 2006 when he again qualified for the PGA. Weekley was in a fine form during 2007, and managed to secure two top ten finishes before his first victory at the Verizon Heritage tournament in April 2007, which raised him to 55th position in the Official World Golf Rankings, which helped increase his net worth. Later in the year, Boo entered the top 50, and represented the United States at the 2007 Omega Mission Hills World Cup, with his friend Heath Slocum, finishing in second place.

Weekley defended his crown at the Verizon Heritage in 2008, after finishing ahead of Aaron Baddeley and Anthony Kim, and this second PGA victory launched him into the top 25 in the rankings, also adding to his net worth, and saw him selected for the 2008 Ryder Cup team. However, he failed to record another win until 2013, triumphing at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas, his latest PGA win so far.

Regarding his personal life, Boo Weekley is married to Karyn Weekley with whom he has one child, and they currently live in Jay, Florida. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and got his nickname after Yogi Bear’s sidekick – Boo Boo Bear.
