After matriculation, Brad enrolled at Johns Hopkins University to study English, however, he dropped out without graduating.
After dropping out of college, Brad started working at a Coconuts record store located in his hometown and then in 2000 made his first appearance in “Jeopardy!”. In his first stint, Brad won $55,102, and two Chevrolet cars, since he was a five-day undefeated champion. In the following years, Brad was invited to the Tournament of Champions thanks to his previous success and he came out as a winner, taking home the main prize of $100,000. He returned to “Jeopardy!” in 2002 for the Million Dollar Masters Tournament, won again, and with the prize of $1 million, Brad became the all-time money winner in the popular quiz.
Three years later he was again part of “Jeopardy!”, this time competing in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions, in which he won $2.1 million, considerably increasing his net worth. He only experienced his first loss in “Jeopardy!” in 2011, when he and another recorder, Ken Jennings competed against an IBM computer, built especially for the needs of the game show.
