Born Brett Anderson on 30th January 1958, in Montgomery, Alabama USA, she is a Golden Globe-nominated actress and comedian, probably best known for appearing as Grace Kelly in the TV series “Grace Under Fire” (1993-1998). Her career has been active since 1988.
Have you ever wondered how rich Brett Butler is, as of late 2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Brett`s net worth is as high as $15 million, earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry.
Brett Butler Net Worth $15 Million
Brett grew up in her hometown with four sisters, and was raised by her mother, as her father left when she was only four years old, described later in her autobiography “Knee Deep in Paradise”, published in 1996.
Before she came to prominence as an actress, Brett was a cocktail waitress. Nevertheless, always keeping her talents to herself, she finally exposed herself on the show “Dolly” in 1987, hosted by Dolly Parton. After the show was cancelled, she retreated, but returned big time with her role in the TV series “Grace Under Fire” in the lead role, which lasted until 1997, and celebrated her as an actress, not to mention that it increased her net worth by a large margin, since she reportedly received $100,000 per episode. While the show lasted, she became extremely popular, which led to frequent appearances on several variety shows, including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (1993-1996), “However, the show that brought her stardom was cancelled, because of her behavior, becoming eccentric and unstable, caused by substance abuse.
Nevertheless, Brett stabilized and continued her career with the role in Shirley MacLaine`s “Bruno” (2000), starring Gary Sinise and Alex D. Linz. In 2006 she hosted the reality TV film “Moochers”, while from 2012 until 2014 she appeared in 38 episodes of the popular comedy series “Anger Management”, which rekindled her career. Soon new roles came for her, and in 2016 she was chosen for the role of Trishelle in the TV series “How to Get Away with Murder”, while she will also appear in the film “Friday`s Child”, which is scheduled for 2017 release. Furthermore, she was selected to appear in the film “Beach Cougar Gigolo”, also scheduled for 2017 release.
Thanks to her early career days success, Brett has received several prestigious nominations and awards, including two Golden Globe Award nominations, while she won the People`s Choice Award in category Favorite Female Performer in a New TV series, and a Q Award in category Best Actress in a Quality Comedy Series, for her work on “Grace Under Fire”.
Regarding her personal life, Brett has married and divorced twice; her first husband was Charles Michael Wilson from 1978 until 1981, and her second was Ken Zieger, whom she married in 1987, but divorced in 1999.
Brett has had numerous addiction problems; during “Grace Under Fire”, she was in a constant battle with drug addiction, and spent several months in a rehab. She is apparently clear these days.
[Jan. 2013] I lost my husband, my job, the respect of people I admire greatly, everything. But I still didn't sober up for another six months. The closeness that I came to dying was really remarkable.
