Brie Larson Net Worth $10 Million

Raised in Sacramento by her mother most of her childhood, Brie was home-schooled, and learned the Spanish language as her first, and later studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater. Given her interest in acting at a young age, Brie started performing in several skits on television in “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” when she was only nine years old. At the initial phase of her career, Brie also appeared in shows like “To Have & To Hold” , “Then Came You”, “Popular” and more. Soon, she was cast in the show “Raising Dad” in 2001 as Emily Stewart, one of the main characters of the show. These were the basis of her net worth.

Her role in “Raising Dad” gave Brie a breakthrough on TV as she became famous for her acting skills. Later, she appeared in the television film entitled “Right On Track” and other television series like “United States of Tara”, “The League”, “Community” and “Comedy Bang! Bang!” among many others. Having made her breakthrough as an actress from television, Brie took her acting journey to the next level with a noteable performance in the Hollywood movie “13 Going On 30”. Other popular movies in which Brie has worked are “21 Jump Street”, “Greenberg”, “Hoot”, “Room” among others.

Needless to say, all of these movies have helped Brie amass millions of dollars, but these are the movies that also helped her become one of the accomplished actresses in Hollywood. More recently, her performance in the movie “Room” was rewarded with a Golden Globe Award as well as a Critic’s Choice Award. She has also been nominated for the BAFTA Award and Academy Award for Best Actress for the same performance.

Along with being a successful actress, Brie is also a noted singer and has released a debut album entitled “Finally Out Of P.E.”. In addition, she has also dipped her toe into directing – two short films “Weighting” and “The Arm”. More recently, Brie has been working on the Hollywood movie “Kong: Skull Island” along with iconic actors Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddlesto. Obviously, being successful in her career as an actor is not the only thing that has managed to make Brie a multi-millionaire as of now.

As for her personal life, 26 years old Brie is notionally single, but is in a long-term relationship with rock band Phantom Planet member Alex Greenwald. Enjoying her successful career, Brie is using her present net worth of $10 million to cater to her personal and career needs. 1Sometimes I laugh with my parents, and sometimes I yell at them, and both are therapeutic.
2Whenever you want something that you're not going to get, suddenly the whiny three-year-old comes out in you.
3I didn't have a regular school experience and wanted a more abstract way of learning. I started exploring in lots of different creative ways. It gave me the opportunity to travel and play music, so it was good for me.
4I had a tough time fitting in, as I guess most kids do. I felt like school was kind of a grand opportunity to figure yourself out and to figure out what you wanted.
5I know that I'm an actor and I guess I could kind of put on an act, but it takes so much more time to be someone you are not. I feel so much better just being comfortable with myself and hopefully girls will accept that.
6I think it starts to feel really redundant when you start to do something the same way over and over again. I don't think it's good to become so dependent on a certain writing process.
7I think more things are becoming socially acceptable. I think that just by having more media, whether that's TV or Internet, we're able to see more things.
8I was home-schooled, was always very close with my mom and was very straight-laced and square. I was never the rebellious one, and I never threw hissy fits.
9I wasn't interested in going to the school dances. I wasn't interested in going to the football games. What I wanted was to be in my room painting my walls and doing weird stuff. That's what I wanted and I got to do what I wanted, so that, to me, is my high school experience.
10I'm learning with the older that I get that some feelings are just universal and that I'm not the only one who hates their hair or their life at times.
11In the past I've been very into the falling part, very into the swimming in the dark, deep emotional water. Rampart (2011) I really went into it and it took me three times as long to get out of that depression as it did to just do the scenes. I had to learn to give it my all and then go home and laugh.
12Maybe you're not perfect, but you're willing to actually look at yourself and take some kind of accountability. That's a change. It might not mean that you can turn everything around, but I think there's something incredibly hopeful about that.
13Singing is an incredible expression and something that is important to me, but where I feel comfortable with how much I reveal about myself is acting. I enjoy the characters, the costumes, the wigs and just being a chameleon.
14I know how to have a conversation, but I've never done improv. I've never taken improv classes.
15For me, the dumbest rule is that you can't chew gum in school.
16For some reason, chewing gum for me gets my brain going.
17I didn't go to prom--I was home-schooled.
18I have a sister and her name is Mimsy, like from "Alice in Wonderland", so we've got some strange names in our family.
19I was three when I told my mom that I knew what my dharma was and that I wanted to be an actor.
20I was the type of person that would show a PowerPoint presentation about why I should do something versus crying and screaming over it.
21I'm so used to swimming with the piranhas. And they're really not that bad.
22It's really hard to see yourself and to recognize that you are a human being like everybody else. You just think everybody's judging you.
23It's very scary to allow the world to see you.
1Became engaged to Alex Greenwald after he proposed to her during a trip to Tokyo in March 2016.
2Older sister of Milaine Larson.
3Her mother tongue is French.
4After a considerable period of frustration correcting people who consistently mispronounced her birth name "Desaulniers," Brie changed it to Larson after her Kirsten Larson doll that she owned as a youngster.
5Was the 146th actress to receive an Academy Award; she won the Best Actress Oscar for Room (2015) at The 88th Annual Academy Awards (2016).
6Released a pop album "Finally Out of P.E." in 2005, which flopped by selling only 3,500 copies. Larson even toured with Jesse McCartney for Teen People's Rock in Shop Tour. Despite this being her only music album, she also sung a song on the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) soundtrack.
7Shared the cover of Vanity Fair magazine's 2016 Hollywood issue with, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel Weisz, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlotte Rampling, Alicia Vikander, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Helen Mirren, Diane Keaton and Saoirse Ronan. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz.
8Is a fan of the Super Mario Bros video games.
9To prepare for her role as Ma in Room (2015), she stayed at home for a whole month and went on a strict diet, to get an understanding of what Ma and Jack were going through.
10As of 2016, was In a relationship with Alex Greenwald, vocalist with rock band Phantom Planet.
11Has acted since she was seven years old. However, she considered quitting acting several times as she found the film business to be too difficult and was unable to get the parts she wanted. She pursued careers in photography, interior design and animal training, but ultimately decided to stick with acting.
12Brie's go-to karaoke song is Usher Raymond's "Burn" from the 2004 album "Confessions".
13Daughter of Heather (Edwards) and Sylvain Desaulniers. Her paternal grandparents were Aurèle Desaulniers and Gabrielle Marie-Therese (Chatelain) Desaulniers (1931-2015), who were French-Canadians from Winnipeg. Her mother's family is based in California. Her mother has English, Swedish, German, Welsh, and Scottish ancestry. Brie's stage surname, "Larson", is after her matrilineal great-grandmother, Elva Josephine Larson.
14In May 2005 she went on tour with Jesse McCartney.
15First job was performing in sketches on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992). Soon after, was cast in the television series, Schimmel (2000), which was announced in 2000 but never aired, since right before filming, Robert Schimmel was diagnosed with cancer. After being "on hold" for six months, Fox canceled the show.
16Moved to Los Angeles in 1998, right before her ninth birthday.
17Read the book "Hoot" before she had read the screenplay.
18Sang "Coming Around" in her movie Hoot (2006).
19Besides acting, she is also a professional singer.
