Britney Spears was raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, and attended gymnastics, dance and voice lessons, making her stage debut at five while in kindergarten, then participating in several singing and talent contests. Spears started her career in “The Mickey Mouse Club” television series, created by Walt Disney. Since she was initially debared from participating in the show due to her age, Spears went to study at the Professional Performing Arts School, and then participated in the “Star Search” show, before she joined “The Mickey Mouse Club” in 1992. Initially, Spears auditioned for an all-female group called “Innosense”, but decided to pursue a solo career and in 1997 was quickly signed to Jive Records after submitting a demo tape. Her successful debut album “Baby One More Time” was released in 1999, and was followed by a concert tour, and then her next album called “Oops!… I Did It Again”, which contained a popular single of the same name, as well as “Lucky” and “Stronger”, all of which contributed to the commercial success of the album.Album sales and revenue from concerts ensured that Britney’s net worth would rise quite significantly

She has also appeared in five films – three as herself, a cameo appearance in Lionel C. For her contributions to music, Britney Spears has been rewarded with Grammy Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Billboard Music Awards. Spears has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Additionally, Britney has launched such products as glasses, shoes, video games, a clothing brand with Candies, and the perfume Curious with Elizabeth Arden – extremely popular and the first of many. Her net worth continues to grow, and is being accumulated from several sources.

In her personal life, Britney Spears was married for perhaps one of the shortest times ever – for just 55 hours in 2004 to childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander before an annulment. Her subsequent engagement to Kevin Federline the same year was criticised as his (ex-)girlfriend was pregnant with their second child. Their subsequent marriage in October lasted until their divorce in 2007, and their two children have since been the subject of various custody orders, generally as a consequence of Britney’s rehabilitations from various addictions, apparently frequent  from 2005. She is currently single, and still bases herself in Louisiana.
