Young has released five studio albums since, which have helped him increase his net worth. His career started in 2002. Have you ever wondered how rich Chris Young is, as of mid-2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Chris Young’s net worth is as high as $4 million, which has been accumulated through his successful career as a country singer, but in addition he is also a songwriter, which has also improved his wealth.
Chris Young Net Worth $4 Million
Chris Young grew up in Murfreesboro, and regularly went to Trinity United Methodist Church. During his early years, Young developed an interest in music and took part in various children’s theater productions. While he was in the Oakland High School, Young played in local clubs and sang in the school’s choir, he was a member of “Winter Drumline” – the high school band – and performed at the Winter Guard International Tournament in Ohio, among others. Chris’ career started in 2002, and he has frequently toured around the US, with 150 performances per year. Young showcased his talent from the beginning of his career, and was offered a place in the “Nashville Star” competition during a concert in Arlington, Texas in 2005. He went to Houston for an audition, and after passing it smoothly, he won the contest in 2006, after which RCA Records in Nashville signed him to a contract, and he soon released his debut single “Drinkin’ Me Lonely”, which reached No. 42 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Young’s first self-titled album was produced by Buddy Cannon, and was an immediate success. His second single – “You’re Gonna Love Me” from the album – reached No. 48 on the Billboard chart. The winning of the “Nashville Star” competition and securing his professional contract generated even more money into his bank account. Young released his third single “Voices” in May 2008, and it was his first Top 40 song, after which his second album “The Man I Want to Be” came out in 2009. The fourth single “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” topped the chart, and Young received a nomination for the 2010 Academy of Country Music Top New Solo Vocalist, and in the same year Chris was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for “Gettin’ You Home”. His net worth was rising. Chris’s third album, “Neon” saw the daylight in July 2011, and it was a big success with singles “You”, “I Can Take It from There” and “Tomorrow”which went platinum in 2012. Young’s next album “A.M.” came out in September 2013, and songs like “Aw Naw”, “Who I Am with You”, and “Lonely Eyes” became highly popular. Most recently, Young released his fourth album named “I’m Comin’ Over” in 2015, which spawned three hit singles “I’m Comin’ Over”, “Think of You”, and “Sober Saturday Night”; Young is planning a tour at the end of 2016. When it comes to speak about his personal life, his private life remains just that. Chris Young had a scary moment in 2013 when he went into septic shock due to a bacterial infection after cutting his leg. The treatment went well, and Young recovered afterward. He is well known for his philanthropic work as a donor to various organizations and institutions such as “Stars For Stripes,” “St. Jude Children’s Hospital”, and the “Nashville School of Arts.”
