Christopher Knight Wiki Biography

Christopher Anton Knight was born on the 7th November 1957, in New York City USA. He became known in the entertainment industry at the age of seven, when he was already auditioning for commercials and TV shows, but is probably best remembered for his role of Peter Brady in the popular sitcom “The Brady Bunch”, which he began when he was 11, and he became famous all over the USA and around the English-speaking world.

So just how rich is Christopher Knight? Sources estimate that Christopher’s net worth is $15 million, most of it a result of his success in the high tech industry, complemented with earnings from his appearances in TV shows and series over the years.

Christopher Knight Net Worth $15 Million

Christopher Knight’s net worth puts him among Hollywood’s millionaires, but things weren’t always like this for the actor. He was actually born into a poor family of stage actors, who had always seen the TV industry as a form of making money, and not as an art. Before “Brady”, he’d been in commercials for big companies like Toyota, Tide, and Cheerios and he had appreciated appearances in “Gunsmoke” and “Mannix”, two popular TV shows of the time. A few years after “The Brady Bunch” show was over, Christopher Knight focused on his career in the IT, movement which brought him a lot of success. Christopher Knight hasn’t completely retired from the entertainment industry and he continued to have guest appearances in movies and television series after 1974, such as “That ’70s Show”, “Light Years Away”, “Beautiful”, and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. Of course all these activities contributed to Christopher’s net worth.

Christopher’s first corporate job was at Martec, Inc., where he registered the company’s first $1 million sales order after less than two years in the field. After being Martec’s top performer as an account sales manager, in 1989 Christopher Knight went to New Image Industry, to be the company’s Vice-President of Design System Marketing and Sales. He subsequently founded three companies, Visual Software in 1991, Kidwise Learningware in 1995, and Eskape Labs in 1998. At the end of the ‘90s, he started doing business in television, first as Vice-President of Marketing at Ixmicro, and then in his own TV tuner company. During his career in the corporate world, he has succeeded in influencing sales, making huge profits and growing his companies’ efficiency.

In 2005, he appeared in the fourth season of “The Surreal Life”, a reality television series which has completely changed his life, both from the professional and personal points of view. After this experience, he had his own celebrity reality television show on VH1, called “My Fair Brady”, which followed his life with his girlfriend and, from the second season, wife, Adrianne Curry. The show lasted for three seasons. The couple divorced after five years of marriage. After more seasons in reality shows, in 2008, the reality shows star hosted the game show, Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. He continues to work in the high tech industry and, in the same time, he is following his career in television and entertainment.

In his personal life Christopher Knight is now single after three marriages. His first marriage, with Julie Schulman, lasted from 1989 to 1992, while his second one, with Toni Erickson, started in 1995 and ended in 2000. He married for the third time in 2006, to Adrianne Curry, and they divorced in 2012.

Christopher was the spokesperson for the American Counselling Association’s “Healthy Skin, Healthy Outlook” campaign and also for the National Consumer League’s “AD/HD Campaign to Inform the Nation”: when he was 40, Christopher Knight was diagnosed with lifelong Attention Deficiency/Hyperactivity Disorder.

1Would I want my kids to watch the show, or to have watched it if I had been a father back then? My own mother told me that parents in dysfunctional families would not have wanted to face the question, 'Why isn't our family like that?' But my own mother had given up on our family. I don't buy that it was wrong to watch The Brady Bunch (1969) because it was a fantasy. It can't do any kid any harm to watch it. Yeah, I'd let my kids watch it, and have a very difficult time figuring out what else they should watch.
2"My own family was completely dysfunctional, so I know what the appeal of The Brady Bunch (1969) was. And when kids get older, in college, for example, and they realize that all their friends watched it, and you all have something in common. You can make fun of it, or say 'God that was great!' because it was so stupid and silly. Like the Batman (1966) series. But it's a known quantity, and you can gather around it. It becomes flypaper".
1Works at the computer-devices company which he co-founded in 1998 [December 1999]
2His manager is Phil Viardo.
3In January 2011, a gossip website carried a story that Knight was being sued for assault. The story was picked up and repeated by several other gossip websites and a few other media outlets. The original website later retracted the story and apologized when it came to light that it was a different Christopher Knight who was being sued. Knight later lambasted all the parties involved for practicing "lazy journalism.".
4Was friends with Tai Babilonia after the 1980 Olympics.
5Bears a resemblance to Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy (1999).
6Is portrayed by Raviv Ullman in Growing Up Brady (2000).
7Son of actor Edward Knight
8Engaged to his longtime girlfriend Adrianne Curry [October, 2005].
9As of 2005, he has become the most famous ex-The Brady Bunch (1969) actor (having appeared in The Surreal Life (2003) and been given his own reality show with his girlfriend, Adrianne Curry, entitled My Fair Brady (2005)).
10Ranked #20 in VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Kid Stars"
11He was the "best man" at The Brady Bunch (1969) co-star Barry Williams' wedding.
12After his The Brady Bunch (1969) fame he made a success guesting in many TV shows during the late 70s such as One Day at a Time (1975), The Six Million Dollar Man: The Bionic Boy (1976), Happy Days (1974), and CHiPs (1977).
13Worked in marketing since 1987.
14In 1996, was diagnosed with lifelong ADD (attention deficit disorder).
