Chuy is the youngest of seven children, and suffers from dwarfism; he is only 4 feet and 3 inches (130 cm) tall. Because of the poverty that struck his family, Chuy immigrated to the United States in his teen years and settled in San Fernando Valley. He received his high school education at Sylmar High School. Little else is known about his life before the early 2000s, when his acting career started.
His first credited screen appearance was in the short film “Romp” in 2003.
