During the start of his music career, Claudio performed with various bands, but they all lasted for a short while only. The name Coheed and Cambria came when Sanchez ended his run with the band Beautiful Loser – he wrote a story entitled “The Bag On Line Adventures of Coheed and Cambria”, which was about two fictional characters living in a different galaxy entitled Heaven’s Fence, actually a story that related to his life with his girlfriend, but then developed into characters apparently resembling his parents.

His music career continued, and he became the lead singer for the band Shabutie in 1995. They released numerous songs, EPs, all of which would be eventually through Coheed and Cambria’s “The Second Stage Turbine Blade”. Shabutle soon broke up, but reformed with Josh Eppard on the drums, and renamed as Coheed and Cambria. They started gaining a lot of popularity, especially on the East Coast, and then released “The Second Stage Turbine Blade”. They toured along with the album release, and then rose to fame after releasing “Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3” which had the hit single “A Favor House Atlantic”. Claudio’s net worth was rising steadily.

Starting from 2000, Claudio began producing comic books starting with “The Bag On Line Adventures”, which however only lasted two issues because of numerous problems. He then worked on “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness” which was released alongside an album of the same name. However, the graphic novel was not fully completed due to financial issues. In 2008, he began releasing comics again, with “The Amory Wars” which related to each of their albums. “The Second Stage Turbine Blade” also had a comic book series, and later on he would co-write the novel “The Amory Wars: Year of the Black Rainbow”. One of his latest works is “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3” which foreshadowed a new “Good Apollo” storyline. His net worth has increased commensurately.

Aside from Coheed and Cambria, Claudio also performs with a concept band called The Prize Fighter Inferno. He released a 7-inch vinyl album entitled “The Beaver Records EP” which included two songs associated with The Prize Fighter Inferno. In 2012, he released another EP fowith his concept band entitled “Half Measures”. Aside from these, in 2016 he made a guest appearance in the web series “Game Grumps”, in which he is seen making comments about “Star Wars Battlefront”.
