Nevertheless, Cory’s fifth world title – the IBF Junior Middleweight Championship – came in 2006, when he fought against Roman Karmazin. He then moved up to Middleweight in May 2007, with a challenge against Jermain Taylor, who managed to hold the title of the World Middleweight Champion. A year later, Spinks lost the IBF Junior Middleweight Championship, but reclaimed the title in April 2009 in his hometown. In January 2012, Cory became the no.1 contender for Bundrage’s IBF Junior Middleweight Title.
