Craig Ferguson was born on 17 May 1962 in Springburn, Glasgow Scotland. While currently best recognised as the man who hosts “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”, he is also a writer/author, producer, director, actor, stand-up comedian, and voice actor.
Craig Ferguson Net Worth $30 Million
So how rich is Craig Ferguson actually? Sources estimate that his current net worth has reached an impressive $30 million, most of his wealth having been accumulated for his work in “The Late Late Show”, though his work as a commedian, writer, actor, producer and director has undoubtedly contributed to the figure too. It is known that he earns $8.5 million every year for hosting the show on CBS.
Interestingly enough, Ferguson started out as an electronics apprentice, and a musician in rock and punk bands. It was his friend Peter Capaldi (current lead in the phenomenal British TV show “Doctor Who”) who suggested that Craig do comedy, which led to Ferguson really beginning to find his place. He immediately became a success in Scotland and soon got his own TV show “The Ferguson Theory”. Unfortunately the show was cancelled, which made Ferguson reconsider his plans, and resulted in him moving to the USA (where he lives to this day). Regardless, his net worth was starting to build.
At the beginning of his career in America, he played a role on TV series “Maybe This Time” for a short time and later he played a role in the comedy TV series “The Drew Carey Show” for seven years, which had a great influence on his career, and contributed significantly to his net worth. While it made Craig Ferguson fairly well known, it wasn’t yet the highest point in his career. His biggest success came with CBS’s offer – he became the host of “Late Night with Craig Ferguson”. The show was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2006, and won a Peabody Award in 2009.
Despite hosting his own show, Ferguson managed to find time for other projects which also contributed to his net worth – he has published two books (“Between the Bridge and the River” and “American on Purpose: The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot”) and appeared in several movies and TV series. As sometimes happens with comedians, Ferguson is a great voice actor who has worked in such great animated movies as “How to Train Your Dragon”, “Winnie the Pooh” (2011), “Brave”, “Big Top Scooby- Doo!”, “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and well-known cartoons “Family Guy”, “SpongeBob Square Pants” and “Futurama”.
In his personal life, Craig Ferguson has been married three times, firstly to Anne Hogarth (1983–86)), then to Sascha Corwin Ferguson (1998–2004), with whom he has a son. He has been married to Megan Wallace-Cunningham since 2008 – they have a son named Liam James (born in 2011). Previously a British citizen, in 2008 Craig Ferguson became an American citizen in 2008, and has received honorary citizenship from 15 American states. The whole process of Craig getting a citizenship was made public and it was no secret that being the host of “Late Night Show with Craig Ferguson” helped him to achieve this goal.

[announcing his intended retirement from The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (2005), 2014] CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are consciously uncoupling. But we will spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much.. I'll go and do something else. Probably, I'm thinking, carpentry. But I haven't made my mind up yet.
