DaMarcus Beasley Net Worth $6 Million

DaMarcus played soccer first for South Side High School and then moved to Bradenton, Florida with his family where he joined IMG Academy, which is the United States Soccer Federation’s Residency program and little by little started to build a name for himself. In 1999 he earned a spot on the USA Under 17 National team for the U-17 World Tournament held in New Zealand, and was ultimately the recipient of the Silver Ball, an award given to the second best player in the tournament. The Golden Ball was given to Beasley’s teammate Landon Donovan, who went on to become one of the best USA soccer players.

Before the tournament, DaMarcus became a player of the LA Galaxy, but never made a single appearance for the team, as he was sent to the Chicago Fire in exchange for two first-round draft picks of the 2000 and 20001 MLS Super Drafts.

He debuted in 2000 for the Chicago Fire, and in 18 league games scored two goals, and played in Open Cup and League Cup to total 23 games in his rookie season. He played for the Fire until 2004 scoring 18 goals in total, before he was bought by PSV for $2.5 million.

He signed a four-year contract with the Dutch side, which increased his wealth, but actually spent only two years in Netherlands, as he was sent on loan to English team Manchester City, in 2006, following one of the worst seasons in his career. However, he won Eredivisie with PSV on two occasions, and KNVB Cup in the 2004-2005 season.

During his stay in England, DaMarcus played in 22 games in all competitions and scored four goals, before returning to PSV, and was then bought by the Rangers for £700,000 in June 2007. He played for the Rangers until 2010, making 46 appearances in all competitions and scoring seven goals. Though his statistic is rather mediocre, he helped Rangers numerous times, including in the win over French side Lyon during the Champions League group stage match, which the Rangers won 3-0, in which he scored one goal, assisted another, and was also a part of the action that lead to the third goal, and so received Man of the Match honors. His stay in Scotland was most fruitful for Beasley as he won two Scottish Premier League titles, in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010, the Scottish Cup in 2007-2008 and 2008-2009, and the Scottish League Cup in 2007-2008 and 2009-2010.

After Scotland and Rangers, DaMarcus spent a season in Germany, playing for Hannover 96, but didn’t have much success, and before returning to the USA, DaMarcus played three years for the Mexican side, Puebla, which also contributed to his wealth.

Then in 2014, he joined Houston Dynamo as a designated player, and since then has been playing for the MLS team.

Aside from successful team career, DaMarcus has also had success with the national team; he made his senior debut against China on the 27th January 2001, and since then has played in 125 games, winning four CONCACAF Gold Cup trophies in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2013, and was the team’s captain during the last tournament. He has scored 17 goals for the national team, which puts him in ninth place on the list of goal-scorers.

Regarding his personal life, DaMarcus tends to keep his most intimate details hidden from the public eyes, therefore, there is little information about DaMarcus’ life in the media, except that he is rumoured to ‘play the field’ when it comes to relationships, and remains unmarried..

Back in 2010, his car was firebombed in front of his house when he was a part of Glasgow Rangers – luckily, DaMarcus wasn’t injured.
