He is a composer, musician and multi instrumentalist, best known as the lead singer of the band The Black Keys. In 2013, besides winning several Grammy Awards as a member of the band, Auerbach won the Best Producer of the Year award, in the Non–Classical category for the co-production of the album “El Camino”, and his work as a producer of the album “Locked Down” by Dr. John. Afterwards, the band released three more successful albums, which respectively took the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st position on Billboard Top 100 – “Brothers” (2010), “El Camino” (2011) and “Turn Blue” (2014).
