Danielle was born into a family which moved quite often, due to her father’s sales job, and so she grew up in different states such as South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. She discovered her love for acting at a suumer camp where she took a theater class, and took up acting in community theatres by the time she was twelve. In 2000, Danielle’s family moved to Naperville, Illinois where she went to Crone Middle School and later Neuqua Valley High School, matriculating when she was just fourteen. Due to her growing love towards acting, Panabaker, her sister and her mother moved to Los Angeles so she could pursue an acting career, and where Danielle attended Glendale Community College to study acting, and thanks to her high grades, appeared on the national Dean’s List in autumn 2006. She continued her studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, from which she graduated with a BA in 2007, appearing on the Dean’s list once again.

Panabaker started her professional career by appearing in commercials, but was soon cast in roles on television, including a part in “The Guardian” series, earning a Young Artist Award for her performance. Some of the other TV series she has appeared in include “Malcom in the Middle”, “Law&Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Summerland”, “Medium” and “Empire Falls”. Soon after, she got a supporting role in “Mr. Brooks”(2007) in which she played alongside Kevin Costner. At this time she was added to the main cast of the CBS television drama pilot “Shark” as the main character’s daughter, maintaining a regular role until the series ended two years later. In 2009 she got the main role in the slasher film “Friday the 13th”, and the next year appeared in horror films “The Crazies” and “The Ward”. In 2013, after starring in Hallmark’s “Nearlyweds”, Panabaker joined three other actors in performing at Cedering Fox’s Word Theatre where the four read aloud contemporary short fiction. Some of her latest activity includes a role in director Bradley D.King’s award winning “Time Lapse (2014), which brought her the award for Best Actor/Actress at the London Independent Film Festival.

1You can always learn something [in bad acting classes], maybe it's a technique you don't like; maybe it's a style. But you learn different things.
2I really did graduate at 14, and I go to college in the Los Angeles area near where I live.
3[on having a sister who is also an actress] It's wonderful. If anything, this business has brought my family together because we can sit at the dinner table and say, "Oh, my gosh, wait 'til you hear this crazy story". And my whole family always comes to sets with me, so it's something we can share, as opposed to tearing us apart.
4I'd love to be able to multiply because then I could be in lots of different places at once. One of me could be sitting here, one of me could still be in bed and one could be vacationing in Hawaii. Just be lots of places at once.
