Daryl Dragon Net Worth $4.5 Million

Daryl is the son of famous composer, arranger and conductor Carmen Dragon and his wife Eloise. Daryl has four siblings, including brother Dennis who was a drummer for The Byrds and Surf Punks. Drawn to music from an early age, Daryl played in several bands before starting The Captain & Tennille, most notably The Beach Boys. During one of their tours, Daryl met Toni Tennille, and the two helped each other in musical endeavors. Soon they started their own act – The Captain & Tennille – Daryl assuming the nickname that Mike Love had given to him during Daryl’s time in The Beach Boys.

For some time, Toni was also a part of the Beach Boys, becoming the only ‘Beach Girl’.

Their debut album came out in 1975, entitled “Love Will Keep Us Together”, which spawned such hits as “Love Will Keep Us Together”, which topped the charts in the USA and Canada, and achieved gold status in the USA, as did the album, which only increased Daryl’s net worth, and “The Way I Want to Touch You”. Becoming a sensation at the very start of their collaboration, the two continued successfully throughout the ‘70s with such albums as “Song of Joy” (1976), which became their only platinum album, then “Come In from the Rain” (1977), which achieved gold status, “Make Your Move” (1979), and “Keeping Our Love Warm” (1980). With the ‘80s, the duo’s popularity began to decline, and though they continued touring, they only released three new albums – “More Than Dancing” (1982), “Secrets of Christmas” (2007), and “ICON” (2013), before Daryl’s health problems curtailed their activities, and later their divorce.

Aside from The Captain & Tennille, Daryl collaborated with his brothers Dennis and Doug, while also worked with the Carpenters, and the band Size 14, which also added to his wealth.

Regarding his personal life, Daryl was married to Toni Tennille from 1975 until 2014.

Starting in 2013, Daryl suffered from tremors, which caused his body to shake involuntarily; which led to the end of his career, and his marriage as well. He started taking medicines for his condition, and as of February 2017, he stated that he feels a lot better. He and Tennille have kept a friendly relationship, and she is helping him to improve his health status.
