David William Donald Cameron was born on 9 October 1966, in Marylebone, London, United Kingdom, of English, Scottish, Welsh, and German-Jewish ancestry. David is a politician, best known for being the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2010. During his tenure as Prime Minister, he’s set in place large scale changes to numerous policies that include immigration, welfare, healthcare and education. David had descendants from both the business and political world, having great-great grandfather Alexander Geddes who was responsible for a family fortune earned from a grain business. He attended Heatherdown School, and at the age of 13 became a part of Eton College. Eventually, after good grades at school, he was then offered an exhibition scholarship at Brasenose College, Oxford University. After matriculating, he would go on a gap year, working as a researcher. He went to Hong Kong, then the Soviet Union before returning to Brasenose College to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). He eventually graduated in 1988 with first class honours.
After school, he became part of the Conservative Party Research Department, and worked there for five years. During this time, he became the head of the political section of the department and was mostly responsible for briefing during press conferences. Eventually at the end of his time with the department, he thought of leaving politics to try and pursue a career in journalism. His net worth was now established.

Cameron failed during the 1997 general election, and tried again in 2000, unfortunately losing again. He then tried to get the seat for Witney in Oxfordshire, which he won. He became a member of the Parliament, also sitting in the Home Affairs Select Committee. During his time there he worked on adjusting laws on drugs among other things. In 2003, he became a shadow minister in the Privy Council Office, and then the vice-chairman of the Conservative Party. Eventually he became part of the Shadow Cabinet and the Shadow Education Secretary. Cameron was then voted in as the leader of the Conservative Party despite criticisms on his inexperience, however, he became very successful and would soon gather support. He was then appointed to head the government after the resignation of Gordon Brown following the 2010 general election, becoming the Prime Minister in a minority government. He focused on setting aside differences and working together with the Liberal Democrats. He started making changes in the law, including the support of gay marriage which became law. He won re-election in 2015 with an absolute majority, and continues to work as Prime Minister.
