David Muir was actually raised in Onondaga Hill, where he attended and graduated from Onondaga Junior-Senior High School in May 1991. His education consists of a number of prestigious universities in America as well in the world, He is a graduate of the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College,with magna cum laude and a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1995. Muir also expanded his knowledge in Institute of Political Journalism, while he was still in college, at the Fund for American Studies at Georgetown University. His career as a reporter started in 1995, when he began working for WHTV in Syracuse, where he earned an honorary award for his reports of the assassinations of Israel`s Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
