Born in Bucharest, Romania, Matache is the daughter of Gina and Ion Matache . She fell in love with music at a very young ag, and studied at Dinu Lipatti music school where she studied piano, and even learned flute after school. She later attended the National University of Music, Bucharest.
Matache’s career started in 1999, when she and her friend Marius Nicolae formed the duo N&D. They were able to create four albums with “Atlfel” (“Different”) being the first one, followed by “Fac ce vreau” (“I do all I want”) and “Nu e vina mea” (“It’s not my fault”) which all became successful in Romania. But despite their success and domination in the Eurodance genre, the two disbanded in 2002, after releasing their last album, “Xplosion”. The success of N&D helped Matache’s career and also laid the basis of her net worth.
After N&D, Matache decided to continue in the music industry as a solo artist, and in 2003 released her first album “Parfum de fericire”. From a teen, she also transformed into a sexy diva, and her new persona was loved by her fans. Although in took her a couple of years to follow up her debut album, in 2007 she released her second one called “Listen Up”, and her third one called “Pe aripi de vant” came in 2015. She recently released an album in 2016 called “Deliria”, so her success as a solo performer has elevated her career and tremendously increased her wealth.
Aside from her successful career as a singer and songwriter, she also conquered the world of television. In 2008 she joined the reality competition “Dansez pentru tine” – the Romanian version of “Dancing with the Stars”, although she and her partner Ionut Pavel didn’t win the competition. In 2012, Matache also joined the Romanian version of the reality TV show “X Factor” as one of its coaches. She also joined the comedy TV show “iUmor” on Antena 1 in 2016, all of which helped increase her net worth. Matache also gained some buzz when a men’s magazine offered her more than €10,000 to pose naked for a photo shoot, but she declined.
