Matthew Sanderson was born on 3 June 1985, in Orlando, Florida USA, and is a recording artist and drag performer, best known from using the stage name “Detox Icunt”. He’s been active in the industry since 2012, and became a part of the fifth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. Detox has a twin brother, and a sister. He attended Manatee High School, and would later move to South View High School in North Carolina. He matriculated in 2003 and would start to perform in drag while still a teenager, firstly performing in nightclubs. He then moved to West Hollywood, California, to try and pursue a career full-time in entertainment.

Detox would start by appearing in various music videos, such as those for Rihanna and Ke$ha, and was part of the Lady Gaga music video entitled “Applause”. He also became a part of Chad Michaels’ “Dreamgirls Revue”, California’s longest-running female impersonation show.
