Donny Osmond Net Worth $20 Million
Donny Osmond took his first step towards popularity when only five years old, as he began singing in the family band The Osmonds. Seven Osmonds formed the band, which included Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie and Jimmy. It was the “The Andy Williams Show” (1962 – 1971) which brought the band to light as they were regular performers on the show. Soon, Donny became the lead singer of the band. The first hit in which the lead was sung by Donny was “One Bad Apple” (1971), which topped the Billboard Top 100 in the USA and Canada. Soon, the band became the object of teens admiration, which was quickly named Osmondmania. Over the existence of the band they have released more than 40 singles and 26 studio albums. More than 102 million records have been sold worldwide, as a result adding much to Donny Osmond and other Osmonds’ net worth. The family received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003 for their achievements in the music industry.
In addition to this, as a solo artist Donny debuted in 1970’s. It is important to mention the fact that meanwhile he continued singing with The Osmonds, too. Up to date, Donny as a solo artist has released 25 singles, 60 studio albums, seven compilation albums and two soundtracks which have undoubtedly increased Donny Osmond’s net worth.
Furthermore, Donny has made a perfect partnership on the stage with his younger sister Marie, starring in the TV variety show “Donny & Marie” (1976 – 1979), (1998 – 2000), the revival of the show bringing them an Emmy Award. This duet of a brother and sister added much to their fame as well as their net worth.
To add more, Donny has appeared as a host in various television shows as follows: “Miss America Pageant” (1999 – 2000, 2008), “Pyramid” (2002 – 2004, 2007), “The Great American Dream Vote” (2007) and others. As a star contestant he won the TV competition “Dancing with the Stars” (2009). As a feature film actor, Osmond landed roles in “Goin’ Coconuts” (1978), “The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch” (1982), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (1999) and “College Road Trip” (2008).
Donny Osmond has added to his net worth as a Broadway musical theatre actor, too. He has starred in such plays as “Little Johnny Jones” (1982), “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (1993), “Beauty and the Beast” (2006) and other plays.
Last but not the least he hosted his own syndicated show on the radio called “The Donny Osmond Show” (2010 – 2013) which was broadcast in USA, UK, Australia and Canada.
