Dustin Hunter Johnson, born on the 22nd of June, 1984, is an American golfer, who became famous for being one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour, and is the first player since Tiger Woods to win at least one tournament in each of his six seasons after college.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Johnson grew up with three siblings to parents Kandee and Scott. In the late 90’s Johnson’s parents divorced, separating the three. He and his sister Laurie lived with their father and his brother Austin lived with their mother. Johnson discovered his love for golf at an early age whenever he and his father went to the driving range at Mid-Carolina Club in Prosperity, South Carolina, where his father was a golf pro.
He went on to attend and play for Coastal Carolina University, and in 2007 his amateur career started to gain attention when he won the Monroe Invitational and the Northeast Amateur. By the end of the year he had become a professional golfer, and earned his PGA Tour card in 2008.
Johnson’s career started to advance even more when he won his first PGA Tour event in late 2008 at the Turning Stone Resort Championship. In 2009, he won another tournament at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and was subsequently ranked 15th on the PGA Tour by the end of the 2009 season.

He continued on his winning streak and won The Barclays in 2011 making it his fifth PGA victory.
