Dustin’s first music attempt was made at the age of eight, when he tried to play guitar. This didn’t lead him to any achievements until he turned 15 and had another try, and soon after he found himself on the stage playing in a band. Despite his plans to continue studying, Dustin decided to pursue a music career.
Lynch was first signed to Valory Music Group but soon left, following one of the executives to Broken Bow Records in 2011. There he recorded and released his first and most popular single until now – “Cowboys and Angels” – which charted at No. 2 on the Country Airplay and was later certified platinum, plus being nominated for American Country Awards in two categories which helped increase his net worth to a large degree, and launch him to stardom. Dustin released his first, self-titled album in August 2012, which eventually shot to No.1 at The Top Country Albums chart. Dustin’s second single “She Cranks My Tractor” also became his second Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart. In 2014 Dustin released “Where It’s At (Yep, Yep)”, his fourth single which reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart in September. Soon after, Dustin followed with his second album, which bore the same name of the single “Where It’s At”, which sold more than 138,000 copies, further increasing his net worth. “Hell of a Night” and “Mind Reader” were another two singles from the album that reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay.
Dustin continued working, and released “Seein’ Red” from the forthcoming album two years later. The album “Current Mood” hit No. 2 on the US Country chart, and No. 7 on Billboard 200. His last work, “Small Town Boy”, was released in March of 2017. Besides the American Country Awards nominations, Dustin Lynch has also been nominated for 2013 CMT Music Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards a year later in the Top New Artist of the Year category. Elle magazine named him Best New Country Music Artist in 2013.
