Edward G. Hochuli, the American lawyer and football player and referee, was born on 25 December 1950 to Walter and Mary Hochuli as the second child of six, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. He is of Caucasian ethnicity and is particularly famous as the celebrity referee in National Football League(NFL), and a noted lawyer, from which a major portion of his net worth comes from.

In 1989 he applied for a post in the National Football League (NFL) and was hired by them as a back – now field – judge in 1990. Here he got a chance to work under the famous referee Howard Roe. He performed so well that in 1992 he was promoted to the referee post by the league.
