The beginning of his career was very successful as his debut album titled ‘Eddie Money’ (1977) was certified two times platinum in United States and platinum in Canada. It has peaked on the 37th and 24th positions respectively in United States and Canada Charts. There is no doubt that the album increased Money’s net worth significantly.

Following this success, Eddie’s second and fifth albums entitled ‘Life for the Taking’ (1978) and ‘Can’t Hold Back’ (1986) were certified platinum in United States and gold in Canada. The album entitled ‘No Control’ (1982) was certified platinum in United States and peaked in 20th position on US Billboard Chart. The albums entitled ‘Love and Money’ (1995), ‘Ready Eddie’ (1999) and ‘Wanna Go Back’ (2007) failed to reach the charts, but they are small failures as during his long-spanned career, Eddie Money has now released 24 singles, 11 studio albums, seven compilation albums, two live albums and EPs. The most popular singles which have increased Eddie Money’s net worth the most and topped the United States Chart are ‘Think I’m in Love’ (1982), ‘Take Me Home Tonight” (1986) and ‘The Love in Your Eyes’ (1989). In his personal life, Eddie has been married to Laurie since 1989, and they have four sons and a daughter. In 2001, Eddie Money publicly admitted to being a drug addict, and joined the rehabilitation program 12 steps, which was successful, as the singer continues to tour, and appear at special events such as opening the DTE Energy Music Theatre summer concert season in Clarkston, Michigan, and  the half-time performance at the Liberty Bowl.
