Born Eddie Scott Trunk on the 8th August 1964, in Summit, New Jersey USA, he is a radio talk show host, music historian and author, best known to the world for his radio and television shows, the main topic of which is heavy metal and hard rock music. His career has been active since 1986.

Although born in Summit, Eddie grew up in Madison, and went to Madison High School, where his interest for music became bigger and bigger, as he became a fan of The Raspberries, Aerosmith, Rush, Black Sabbath, Kiss and UFO, among others. He also started writing reviews about new records of the popular bands, for the school`s paper.
As early as 1986, Eddie became an employee of Megaforce Records, which at the time had both Metallica and Anthrax as part of the label. Eddie slowly worked his way up in the company, and at age 25 he became vice-president. On account of his position, Eddie was credited as the executive producer for recordings of bands such as Manowar, Overkill, Icon, Raven and Anthrax among others.
In the first half of the 1990s, he worked as a disc jockey for the Pure Rock Q104.3 station and was also the VJ for the VH1 Classic, hosting the Metal Mania episodes of the weekend.
In the second half of the 1990s, WNEW FM started an idea to import heavier sound to their classic rock play-lists, and soon hired Eddie to become the host for the station. “Saturday Night Rocks” saw the light of the day in 1997, with Eddie the host of the show, and soon afterwards “Friday Night Rocks” was also created as an addition. Eddie served as the host until 2003, when the station underwent a format change; regardless, Eddie’s net worth was well established.
After that, his net worth increased from his work as a host of the four-hour program on XM Radio`s Ozzvy`s Boneyard Channel on Saturdays, however, he was suspended after an interview with baseball player Mike Piazza critisising the station. Nevertheless, he returned to XM in December 2006, when he began hosting “Eddie Trunk Live”; the show is now called “Eddie Trunk Nation”, and is aired through the Sirius XM Radio channel, Hair Nation, and is also the host of “Eddie Trunk Rocks” aired on Radio KG, and has his own podcast show too, entitled “The Eddie Trunk Podcast”, aired through PodcastOne.
Furthermore, Eddie found engagement on VH1 television, hosting the “That Metal Show”, from 2008 until 2015, which also increased his net worth.
