Emma Samms Net Worth $10 Million

Emma is the daughter of Madeleine U. (nee White), who was a ballet dancer, and Michael E.W. Samuelson, who ran a film equipment rental company. From her early years, Emma was raised in the Jewish religion, and her mother took her to ballet lessonstoo. She trained in ballet at the Royal Ballet School, however, a hip injury when she was 15 years old stopped her from reaching full potential, and so she switched her focus to acting, and apparently it paid off.

Her career began with the role of Princess Zuleira in the film “Arabian Adventure” (1979), while in 1980 she featured in the made-for-television film “More Wild Wild West”, and just two years later got her breakout role of Holly Sutton Scorpio in the ABC daytime opera “General Hospital” (1982-1985). She returned to the show in 1992 and from then on appeared sporadically until 2015. She left “General Hospital” in 1985 for a different soap opera, entitled “Dynasty”, in which she portrayed Fallon Carrington Colby, staying on the show until 1987, and then appeared in the miniseries “Dynasty: The Reunion” (1991). Her character immediately received praise from fans, which resulted in the spin-off series “The Colbys”, which also ran from 1985 until 1987, increasing Emma’s net worth to a large degree.

In 1989 she starred in the historical drama “The Lady and the Highwayman”, next to Oliver Reed, Claire Bloom and High Grant, and she began the ‘90s with the lead role in action adventure “Bejewelled”, with Paris Jefferson and Dick Benedict. In the early ‘90s, Emma appeared in several films that turned out to be a bust, but she rebounded in 1994 when she was cast as Grayson Louder in the TV series “Models Inc.” (1994-1995). Nothing changed at the start of a new millennium – in 2002 she appeared in the mystery drama “Pretend You Don’t See Her”, and the comedy “Pets” the same year. In 2005 she portrayed Amanda Clay in the TV series “Doctors”, and in 2012 appeared in the horror film “Boogeyman”.

Most recently, Emma appeared in the romantic drama “Love Blossoms” (2017), starring Shantel VanSanten, Victor Webster and Callum Blue, which also improved her wealth.

Emma has also had experience as a host and celebrity contestant in several shows; in 1985 she appeared in “Trivia Trap”, “Body Language”, and from 1986 until 1989 was a contestant in the “Super Password”. She appeared in several Annual Award shows too, including “The 52nd Annual Golden Globe Awards” (1995), while most recently, she was the host of the TV series “Murder Behind Mansion Walls” (2015).

To speak further of her accomplishments, Emma also tried herself as a model, as she appeared in several magazines, including Inside Sports among others, although she twice refused to appear on the cover of Playboy.

Regarding her personal life, she has been married and divorced three times. Her first husband was Bansi Nagji, from 23rd February 1991 until 27th May 1992. Two years later she married Tim Dillon, but that also lasted for a year. In 1996 she married John Holloway with whom she gave birth to two children, before their divorce in 2003.

Emma is known for her charitable activities; alongside her cousin, Peter Samuelson, she co-founded the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which helps children with severe health problems to cope with their situation. She started the organization in honor of her brother, who died from aplastic anemia when he was only nine years old.

Thanks to her generosity in philanthropy, Emma appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2016 honors list.

#Quote
1The Emma Samms persona is a suit I put on for work. Who I really am is the wife and mother and daughter and sister and friend.
2As you get older, it's nice to be able to relax a bit about your appearance. Writing does that for me. It comes from inside me, from my brain and from my heart, and hopefully it has much more value than anything that's on the exterior.
