LaRue grew up in California, along with her three siblings, and attended Norco High School, matriculating in 1985. Her show-business career had already started at the age of six, singing jingles when appearing in various television commercials. During her teenage years she became a beauty queen, winning the state pageant Danfranc Productions Miss California Empire title in the mid-‘80s, so upon finishing high school, LaRue began her modeling career, being hired by the Judith Fontaine Agency, eventually becoming a model of Frederick’s of Hollywood.

Eva started her acting career with a minor role in the 1987 film “The Barbarians”. The following year she had a recurring role as Margot Collins in the television soap opera “Santa Barbara”, then during the early ‘90s, she appeared in a number of films, such as “Heart Condition”, “Crash and Burn”, “Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College”, “RoboCop 3” and “Mirror Images 2”, while also landing numerous television guest appearances. All added to her net worth.

In 1993 LaRue joined the cast of the hit television soap opera “All My Children”, playing Dr. Maria Santos Grey until 1997; her second stint in the series lasted from 2002 to 2005. The actress briefly reprised her role as Dr. Maria in 2010 and 2011, and the series earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Song, for a song she sang as accompaniment for a scene in the series. LaRue’s performance in “All My Children” significantly contributed to her popularity and to her net worth as well.

In the meantime, she guest starred in numerous television series and appeared in several TV films. In 2000 she had a recurring role as police officer Brooke Doherty in the popular television series “Third Watch”. The same year she played Josefina Alicante in the television drama “Soul Food”, and went on to appear in the sitcom “George Lopez” and in “Modern Girl’s Guide to Life” television show. In 2005 LaRue was cast as Natalia Boa Vista in the popular police drama series “CSI: Miami”, during the series’ fourth season. With the beginning of season five, LaRue became a full-time cast member, remaining in the series until its cancellation in 2012. “CSI: Miami” reinforced LaRue’s status of a star and greatly added to her wealth.

In the years since, the actress has appeared in a few television movies, including “Family Trap”, “Help for the Holidays” and “Letter Never Sent”. She also played Agent Tanya Mays in an episode of “Criminal Minds”. Her most recent television project was the 2016 revival series of the sitcom “Full House”, entitled “Fuller House”.

When speaking about her private life, LaRue has been married three times. In 1992 she married actor John O’Hurley, and after their divorce in 1994 she married actor John Callahan in 1996, who was her on-screen husband in “All My Children”. The couple has one child together, but divorced in 2005. Eva married Joe Cappucio in 2010, and divorced him in 2014. Sources believe she is currently single.
