Frank VanderSloot is the son of Peter Francis VanderSloot and Margaret May Christensen Sindberg-Woodley VanderSloot. He matriculated in 1966 from Sandpoint High School, and when he was 16 years old, he became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). However, his life changed for the better in mid- 1980s, when he was invited by his brother-in-law Roger Ball and Roger`s brother to take over Melaleuca Inc., which was a startup multi-level marketing company, but was in a complete mess.
Frank couldn`t restore the company, and it was shut down the same year, however, he formed a new company under same name, keeping the old distributors and products.
