Frankie Faison Net Worth $1.6 Million

Frankie is the son of Edgar Faison and his wife Carmena. After finished high school, he enrolled at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, where he was a part of the Theta Chi Fraternity. After that, he attended NYU’s Graduate Acting Program and obtained his degree in 1974.

The same year Frankie’s professional career commenced; he first appeared in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of “King Lear”, next to James Earl Jones, and then made a debut on screen in the TV series “Hot Hero Sandwich”, five years later. He continued with screen roles, appearing as Detective Brandt in the Golden Globe Award- nominated horror thriller “Cat People” (1982), starring Nastassja Kinski, Malcolm McDowell and John Heard, and then in 1986 appeared in the action comedy horror film, written and directed by Stephen King “Maximum Overdrive”. The same year he featured in the film “Manhunter”, based on Thomas Harris Book, as Lt. Fisk, and then in 1991 was selected for the role of Barney in the crime thriller that won five Academy Awards – “The Silence of the Lambs” – with Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster, based on Harris’ book about Hannibal Lecter, and Frankie featured in two other installments “Hannibal” (2001), and “Red Dragon” (2002). The particular role brought him fame, and also increased his wealth to a large degree. In between the first and second film, Frankie featured in several successful productions, including “Money for Nothing” (1993), then “Albino Alligator” (1996), and John McTiernan’s romantic thriller “The Thomas Crown Affair” in 1999, with Pierce Brosnan, Rene Russo, and Denis Leary in the lead roles.

Frankie continued with film appearances, though his roles didn’t much affect the outcome of the film, however, he still had roles in such successful productions as “Thirteen Conversations About One Thing” in 2001, directed by Jill Sprecher, then the historical war drama “Gods and Generals” (2003), starring Robert Duval, Stephen Lang and Jeff Daniels, while in 2004 he featured in the romantic comedy “In Good Company”.

However, back in 2002 he was selected for the role of Commissioner Ervin H. Burrell in the TV crime drama series “The Wire” (2002-2008), and appeared in 47 episodes, which only increased his wealth to a large degree. After the series ended, Frankie went back to film roles, and played Harlan in the romantic drama “Adam” in 2009, and then in 2013 portrayed Sugar Bates in the TV Mini-Series “Banshee Origins” (2013-2016), and the full series of the same name; he appeared in 38 episodes of the show in total, which only increased his wealth to a large degree. He had little success with film roles until 2016, when he was selected for the role of Frank Ellison in the drama “An American Girl Story – Melody 1963: Love Has to Win”. Furthermore, in 2017 he portrayed Joe Dubois in Jon Gunn’s drama “The Case for Christ”, and he will star in the biopic about Stephon Marbury, “My Other Home”, and feature in the comedy “An Actor Prepares”, both scheduled for release late in 2917.

Regarding his personal life, Frankie has been married to Jane Mandel since 1988; the couple has three children together.
