Frederick Steven Roach, was born on 5 March 1960, in Dedham, Massachusetts USA, and is a former boxer and highly respected boxing trainer. He has trained such boxers as Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Georges St. Pierre, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., Peter Quillin, Jose Benavidez and Vanes Martirosyan. Freddie has won Trainer of the Year award six times.
So how rich is Freddie Roach? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that as of late 2016 Roach’s net worth is over $20 million; his career as a boxing trainer not only helps him to gain money but also apparently slows down the onset of his Parkinson’s disease. As Roach is still an active boxing trainer, there is a high possibility that his net worth will grow in the future.
Freddie Roach Net Worth $20 Million
From a very young age, Freddie began boxing – his trainer was Tariq Nasiri. While being a teenager, Roach was able to achieve quite a lot, and in 1978 Freddie became a professional boxer – his trainer then was the highly regarded Eddie Futch. Although Freddie was good at boxing, he was not able to continue his career as a professional boxer due to Parkinson’s disease, finishing after several consecutive defeats. At first Freddie did not want to retire, as he thought that he would be able to continue boxing, but then accepted the inevitable, and retired. Despite the fact that Freddie’s career as a professional boxer was not very long, it still added to Roach’s net worth.
When Roach ended his career as a professional boxer, he tried different kinds of jobs from busboy to telemarketing. Then Eddie Futch suggested that Freddie become his assistant, and in 1991 Roach’s career as a boxing trainer began, when Mickey Rourke asked Freddie to be his trainer, which immediately added to Freddie Roach’s net worth. Now Roach has the Wild Card Boxing Club, and trains a lot of famous boxers. During his career, Roach has now trained such boxers as Brian Viloria, Dimitri Kirilov, Guillermo Rigondeaux, James Toney, Jorge Linares, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Mike Tyson and many others. The success of these boxers has made Roach a respected boxing trainer, and also had a very significant impact on Freddie’s net worth.
In addition to many famous boxers, Roach also has trained several mixed martial artists, including Anderson Silva, B.J. Penn, Jose Aldo, Frank Mir, Mauricio Rua, Tito Ortiz, Gegard Mousasi, Andrei Arlovski and others. All these fighters have achieved success, and Freddie was a part of it.
Because of the success while being a boxing trainer, Freddie has been acclaimed by being inducted into The World Boxing Hall of Fame, California Boxing Hall of Fame, and Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame. What is more, he gained a Lifetime Achievement Award from World Boxing Council as well as his Trainer of the Year successes. It is clear that Roach is one of the most respected and successful boxing trainers in the world. Although he can’t box himself, Freddie is able to help others achieve their aims. Freddie Roach’s net worth will probably grow in the future as he is still very successful boxing trainer.
In his personal life, Freddie remains single, saying that he ‘doesn’t have the time’ to engage in a serious relationship!

It's convenient for him because the only way he can be on the stage right now is to talk about a Manny Pacquiao fight, because nobody really cares about him and everybody has kind of forgotten him right now. He hasn't fought in over a year. He's out of the ratings now. He's not on the pound-for-pound list anymore. His career has gone to the toilet. [on Floyd Mayweather, Jr.]
