Gal Gadot Wiki Biography

Gal Gadot was born on the 30th April 1985, in Petah Tikva, Israel, and is an actress and model, probably best known to the world for her role as Wonder Woman in such films as “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016), and “Wonder Woman” (2017). She is also known for being the former Miss Israel in 2004.

Have you ever wondered how rich Gal Gadot is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Gadot’s wealth is as high as $8 million, an amount earned through her successful career, active since 2004.

Gal Gadot Net Worth $8 Million

Born into an Ashkenazi Jewish family, mother Irit was a teacher, and father Michael Gadot was an engineer. She is of mixed ancestry, including Polish-Jewish, Austrian-Jewish and Czech-Jewish – her maternal grandfather survived Auschwitz, while her grandmother managed to escape the Nazi invasion.

Although born in Petah Tikva, she grew up in Rosh HaAyin. While in high school, Gal focused on biology studies and received a major in the subject. After high school, she enrolled at IDC Herzliya college, where she studied law and international relations.

Before launching her career in modeling, Gal served in Israeli Defence Forces as a combat trainer, which helped her build up her discipline and respect.

At 19, Gal auditioned for the Miss Israeli pageant, and at the actual event won the title, which launched her career in modeling. She got a chance to represent her country at Miss Universe 2004, but wasn’t successful.

However, she was soon contracted by Miss Sixty, Huawei, and other popular brands for their campaigns. This certainly increased her net worth, as well as her popularity, and she was soon featured in several popular magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, Fashion and many others, further increasing her net worth.

She made her acting debut in 2007 in the Israeli film “Bubot”, having previously been approached for the role of Bond girl in the film “Quantum of Solace”, but feeling that she wasn’t up to the task, she refused the role. However, “Quantum of Solace” casting director, Justin Lin, sought her for the film “Fast & Furious” for the part of Gisele, and this time she accepted the role, with her character becoming one of the most popular in the franchise, and as a result she featured in the sequels “Fast Five” in 2011, “Fast & Furious 6” (2013), and “Furious 7” (2017), increasing her net worth by a large margin.

Aside from the above, Gal has had another successful appearance, when in 2015 she was chosen for the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman for the film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, and Amy Adams as Lois. The film grossed more than $870 million at the box office, which helped increase Gal’s net worth, and she repeated her role in the films “Wonder Woman” (2017), “Justice League” (2017), and will feature in “Justice League Part Two”, which is yet to receive its release date, then “Wonder Woman 2”, which will come out in 2019, and “Flashpoint” in 2020.

Gal has also made several other appearances, including the portrayal of Jill Pope in the action drama “Criminal” (2016), starring next to Kevin Costner and Ryan Reynolds, which also added a substantial amount to her net worth.

Regarding her personal life, Gal has been married to Yaron Varsano, an Israeli real estate developer, since 2008. The couple has two children together, both daughters.

1Statuesque, model-like figure.
1[on Wonder Woman's smirk in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)] I did that. I remember after we did that take, Zack [director Zack Snyder] came to me and he said, 'Did you just have a smirk?' I said 'Yeah.' And he asked, 'Why? I think I like it, but why?' 'Well if [Doomsday's] gonna mess with her, then she's gonna mess with him. And she knows she's gonna win.' At the end of the day Wonder Woman is a peace seeker. But when fight arrives, she can fight. She's a warrior and she enjoys the adrenaline of the fight.
2My height is 178 cm, which explains how I got on the high school basketball team. I was not an amazing shooter, but I ripped them on defense.
3There aren't enough good roles for strong women. I wish we had more female writers. Most of the female characters you see in films today are "the poor heartbroken girl". That's why I'm so proud of the Fast movies. I feel like Giselle is an empowering woman.
4I definitely have a strong sense of my Jewish and Israeli identity. I did my two year military service, I was brought up in a very Jewish, Israeli family environment, so of course my heritage is very important to me. I want people to have a good impression of Israel. I don't feel like I'm an ambassador for my country, but I do talk about Israel a lot - I enjoy telling people about where I come from and my religion.
1Her first and second name respectively mean, "wave" and "riverbank".
2Announced on social media on November 6, 2016 that she and her husband Yaron Versano are pregnant with their second child together by 2017.
3Unlike Lynda Carter's two children James and Jessica Altman, Alma Versano (Gal's daughter) had the opportunity of seeing her mother in her Wonder Woman costume during filming production. Lynda did not have any children when she was married to Ron Samuels.
4Starred with both brothers Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck in two films released in 2016: Triple 9 (2016) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
5She was offered to portray Faora in Man of Steel (2013), but turned it down due of her pregnancy at that time.
6Ranked #84 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 Women of 2014 list.
7Was up for the role of Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
8She is the first actress to portray Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in a live-action, theatrically-released film. Lynda Carter only performed the role on television.
9Her husband Varon Varsano owned (with his brother) a hotel in the Neve Tzedek district of Tel-Aviv. In April 2015 it was sold for $25m.
10Her first name means ''Wave'' in Hebrew.
11Enjoys basketball, volleyball and tennis.
12Is an avid motorcycle rider and owns a black 2006 Ducati Monster-S2R.
13Was close friends with her Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker.
14Her depiction of Diana Princess/Wonder Woman is the first live action appearance to audiences since the cancellation of the television series in 1979. The remaining regular television appearances of Wonder Woman were only in her animated form on Super Friends (1973) and Justice League (2001).
15Is the first non-American actress to play Diana Princess/Wonder Woman.
16Gave birth to her 1st child at age 26, a daughter named Alma Versano in November 2011. Child's father is her husband, Yaron Versano.
17She served for two years as sports trainer in the Israeli Defense Forces.
18She won the Miss Israel title in 2004, and represented Israel at the 2004 Miss Universe beauty pageant.
