Gavin Rossdale Wiki Biography
Gavin McGregor Rossdale was born on 30th October 1965 in Killburn, London. He is an English musician and actor, best known to the world as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Bush. The band had multiple platinum selling records, with one album peaking at #1 on Billboard rock charts, “Razorblade Suitcase” in 1996. Rossdale`s career has mostly been based on music, but as well it has featured a number of film appearances, “Zoolander” (2001), “Mayor of the Sunset Strip” (2004), and “Little Black Book” (2004). He has been active as a guitarist since 1983.
Have you ever wondered how rich Gavin Rossdale is? According to sources it is estimated that Gavin Rossdale`s net worth is $35 million, an amount gained through a successful music career with the band Bush, but also solo career after the break-up of the band in 2002, and spanning more than 30 years.
Gavin Rossdale Net Worth $35 Million
Gavin Rossdale was born to parents of Russian-Jewish (father) and Scottish (mother) descent. His childhood was not exactly a dream, because unfortunately his parents divorced when he was eleven years old. He has two sisters, Soraya and Lorraine. His mother remarried and has one daughter from that marriage, Rossdale`s half-sister Georgina Rossdale-Smith, who is a doctor. He left school when he was 17 years old to pursue his music career, forming the band called Midnight. They managed to produce a few singles in 1991, but had no major success. After that, Rossdale moved to Los Angeles and later NYC in order to expand his career. He stayed there for six months, and made contact with Dave Dorrell, who would later become the manager for Rossdale`s future band Bush.
In 1994 Bush made its debut, releasiing the album Sixteen Stone which was a major success, propelling the whole crew, and especially Rossdale into the world of fame. Following that, the band toured through the USA, booking major arenas. Nevertheless, despite success in the USA, the band wasn`t accepted that well in England, mostly because critics were comparing Rossdale to Kurt Cobain and whole style of his music. Needless is to say that Rossdale didn’t pay attention to those remarks, and continued working with the band. They produced several more platinum selling records, Razorblade Suitcase, Deconstructed and The Science of Things, before the break-up in 2002. Luckily in 2010 the band reunited and produced another album, Sea of Memories, released in 2011. These periods contributed significantly to Rossdale’s net worth
In between, Rossdale embarked on a solo career as a musician, and as an actor. His first and only solo album was WANDERlust in 2008; and he was a guest vocalist on the song End of Me, which is performed by Apocalyptica.
Overall, Gavin Rossdale`s career has been quite successful, receiving an Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy in 2013 for International Achievement.
Rossdale`s acting career also added to his net worth, as he was involved in films like “Constantine” (2005), “How to Rob a Bank” (2008), and most recently he appeared in “The Bling Ring” (2014).
Regarding his personal life, Rossdale stated that his childhood had a strong effect on him, and he keeps his personal life to himself, not wanting to make a fuss out of it. In 2002 he married Gwen Stefani, singer of the ska punk band No Doubt, who he met in 1995 on a tour, and the couple has three sons. Unfortunately, Stefani filed for divorce in August 2015.

1 | I'm not prepared to be in bad films just to keep my foot in the door. So I'm reliant on a great part coming along. And the problem is, I want every role that Benicio Del Toro does, so I'm fucked until he wants to take a holiday. |
2 | [about acting] [...] I love to act and I find it very inspiring. And it was a case of waiting to find the right thing that I wanted to do and that wanted me. |
3 | I'm not in any way homophobic, but I just hung around that whole scene. I grew up in the center of London, and the best clubs were always the gay clubs. Quoted after rumors sparked that he was gay after an insinuation in Boy George's 1995 autobiography. |
4 | I know that sometimes we get accused of being a band that's successful on account of my average cheek bones. But it IS a good band. I'm not the most arrogant person in the world, but I'm going to start to be. I'm sort of sick of being misrepresented. |
