Gina Neely was born in Detroit, Michigan, the United States of America. She is an author, restaurant owner and television personality best known for being part of various television shows such as “Down Home with the Neely’s”. She was also the co-owner of the successful barbecue restaurant “Neely’s Bar-B-Que” and all her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.

Prior to joining the food industry, Gina worked at the National Bank of Commerce as a branch manager and also worked for a local public relations firm, The Carter Malone Group as an events coordinator, and that experience would help their business later on.

After the creation and success of “Neely’s Bar-B-Que”, in 2008 the couple was approached by Food Network to do their own television show, on which they can showcase their dishes and secrets. After “Down Home with the Neely’s” was created, their popularity and net worth skyrocketed. They then decided to expand, opening “Neelys BBQ Parlor” in New York City. They also started to do catering work, which contributed a significant portion to their revenue. Gina also oversaw other products such as shirts, aprons, hats, sauces and seasonings. In 2013 however, the couple decided that they were closing their Memphis locations indefinitely, but still retained the one in New York. The reason for closing the restaurants was to pursue other projects like the Foreman Weight Loss Challenge along with Neely’s new line of Green Giant foods.

The couple has also released their own cookbooks. Their first release “Down Home with Neely’s” became a New York Times Best Seller. Two years later they released “The Neely’s Celebration Cookbook: Down Home Meals for Every Occasion”.

Aside from these endeavors, Gina is very active in various groups such as the Memphis Restaurant Association, Memphis Housing Authority, Women’s Empowerment Summit, and The Dreamers Club for the National Civil Rights Museum. Gina’s also known to do charity work from time to time, such as sponsoring Memphis youths to attend local NBA games. She also supports the athletic division of various schools in the city.

For her personal life, it is known that Gina is very active at a local Baptist church. Gina and Pat also have two daughters since they marriage in 1994, one of whom is Gina’s daughter from her previous marriage. After two decades of marriage, in 2014 the couple decided to divorce due to irreconcilable differences.
