Glen grew up in his hometown, and went to Fort Walton Beach High School. After matriculation, he enrolled at the University of Alabama, where he played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his first season, he wore the jersey in all twelve games and had 179 rushing yards, 91 receiving yards and scored one receiving touchdown. Although he played in 12 games, his playing minutes were limited as he was a substitute to Kenneth Darby, and also shared time with Jimmy Johns.

He was redshirted for the following season, but then returned to the field under coach Nick Saban; his playing time and performance saw an improvement to his first season, as he scored four touchdowns and had 545 rushing yards, along with 142 receiving yards. His third season was his best since he made 1,383 rushing yards with 5.9 yards per carry scoring 10 touchdowns, and catching 16 passes for 118 receiving yards, scoring one touchdown.

Thanks to his successful season, Glen earned the honor of being selected to the Associated Press All-SEC first team. Encouraged by his success, he decided to declare for the 2009 NFL Draft and to forgo his last college year.

Glen was selected as the 74th overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers, and in his rookie season played in 14 games, two of which he started. He was a backup to Frank Gore but still managed to have notable performances, scoring one touchdown and 226 rushing yards in addition to 76 receiving yards.

However, he decided to retire from football after only one season, and returned to college to finish his studies and obtain a degree in consumer affairs. Following his retirement, he stated that the reason for such action was that he never had his heart fully dedicated to football, and that God wanted him to take another path.

Several years after his retirement, Glen enlisted in the army and enrolled at United States Army Airborne School, from which he graduated in 2013. He desired to become a paratrooper and eventually became a Specialist (E-4) while serving as an airborne infantryman.

Most recently, he returned to football and is currently a part of The Spring League, through which he hopes to receive a contract from CFL or NFL franchises.

Regarding his personal life, Glen tends to keep information of his personal life hidden from the media, therefore, a large part of his personal life remains hidden from the public eyes.
