Just like every other NBA star, Glen`s dominance began in college; he played basketball for the University of Michigan team, the Wolverines. With the team, he won the NCAA Championship in 1989, and was named as NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player and was the Big Ten Player of the Year, all in 1989. He set several records, some of which stands today, including career points with 2,442, and single season points with 949, among others.
Thanks to his great year in which he won the NCAA Championship, his draft position improved, and he was selected by the Miami Heat as the fourth pick in the 1989 NBA Draft.
