Gretchen Wilson Net Worth $4 Million

Gretchen Wilson spent her childhood in a trailer park, raised by a single mother. In her teens, when she was in ninth grade she decided to leave her education and home, to start pursuing a career in the world of music.
Gretchen`s career as a musician in the country genre began in 2003, when she signed a contract with the Epic Records, and started working on her first album, which came out in 2004, entitled “Here for the Party”. The whole album was a tremendous accomplishment for Gretchen, as it topped the US Country chart, and spawned hit songs including “Redneck Woman” and “When I Think About Cheatin”, which certainly helped album sales as it achieved five times platinum status in the US. This encouraged Gretchen to continue working on her musical career, and her second album, “All Jacked Up”, came out in 2005, also topping the US Country chart, and achieving platinum status in US, as well as being certified gold in Canada, which only increased further her net worth.

Gretchen`s third album was released in 2007, entitled “One of the Boys”, also topping the charts, however, the sales were drastically lower, but it certainly increased her net worth.
She continued with her musical career in the next decade of the 2000s, releasing albums such as “I Got Your Country Right Here” (2010), which reached No. 6 on the US Country, and “Right on Time” (2013), ending at No. 24, however, her popularity began to decline, and her latest album “Under the Covers”, reached only No. 40 on the US Country chart.

To speak further of her accomplishments, Gretchen has also released a Christmas album, entitled “Christmas in My Heart”, also in 2013.
Additionally, she launched her own record label, entitled Redneck Records, in 2009, after she left the Epic Records that year.

Thanks to her talents, Gretchen has received numerous prestigious awards, including ACM Top Female Vocalist in 2004, CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2005, CMA Horizon Award in 2004. Furthermore, Gretchen also won the Grammy Award in the category of Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her song “Redneck Woman” in 2005.
When it comes to her personal life, Gretchen Wilson has a daughter with her ex-boyfriend Michael Penner. Her current residence is in Lebanon, Tennessee. She has been recognized for her charity work, as she is a big supporter of organisations which help children in need, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, among others, raising over $1.5 million through numerous charity concerts she has held throughout her career.
