Isabella Rossellini Net Worth $65 million

Isabella was born to the famous Swedish actress, Ingrid Bergman and acclaimed Italian film director Roberto Rossellini, so it is no wonder that she has managed to make a successful career in acting. As a youngster, she spent most of her time in Rome, Santa Marinella as well as Paris. At the age of 19, Isabella Rossellini moved to New York City where she enrolled at Finch College and New School for Social Research. After graduation, Isabella returned to Italy and began working as a translator, as well as an American correspondent for RAI television network.

Isabella Rossellini officially debuted as an actress in 1976, when she appeared in Vincente Minnelli’s “A Matter of Time”, opposite Liza Minnelli and her mother Ingrid Bergman in the leading roles. This engagement was followed by an appearances in “Il prato” (1979) and “Il pap’occhio” (1980). In 1980, at the age of 28, Isabella began her modeling career, initially for Vogue and later for Lancôme, as the brands’ spokeswoman. The real breakthrough in Isabella Rossellini’s career came after she appeared in “White Nights”(1985), and soon after in David Lynch‘s 1986 masterpiece “Blue Velvet”, in which for the role of Dorothy Vallens Rossellini was rewarded with an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. All these engagements helped Isabella Rossellini to build a successful and prominent acting career, as well as to pile up more honors and net worth.

In 1990, Isabella Rossellini made a real impact when she appeared in another David Lynch movie, this time the rather controversial thriller, “Wild at Heart”, which nevertheless quickly achieved “cult classic” status, and won the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or despite its “offending” plot. This engagement launched Isabella Rossellini to the top among actresses in the film industry, and certainly helped her to acquire quite impressive net worth.

Throughout the 1990s, Isabella Rossellini continued to act, further enriching her portfolio with roles in movies such as “Death Becomes Her”(1992), “Wyatt Earp” and “Immortal Beloved”, both in 1994, as well as “Big Night” (1996). Apart from movies, Isabella appeared in several hit TV series, including “Napoléon”, “The Simpsons”, “Legend of Earthsea” and “Alias”. She even produced one series of short films which depicts the sexual behavior of animals, named “Green Porno” and containing 18 episodes. Some other Isabella producing projects include “Seduce Me: The Spawn of Green Porno” and “Mammas”.

In her career at present, Isabella Rossellini has appeared in over 80 movies and TV series, many of which have significantly increased her net worth in total.

Besides her acting career, Isabella Rossellini can also brag about her modeling one – she was on the covers of several prominent lifestyle and fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Elle and Vanity Fair, as well as American and British Vogue. It is certain that her modeling career also made a huge positive impact on Isabella Rossellini’s net worth as well.

Isabella Rossellini is also an acclaimed author with three books published so far – “Some of Me”, “Looking at Me”, and “In the name of the Father, the Daughter and the Holy Spirits: Remembering Roberto Rossellini”.

When it comes to her personal life, it has been as dynamic as her career. She was married to Martin Scorsese between 1979 and 1982, then in 1983 she exchanged vows with Jon Wiedemann, with whom she had her first child, however, the couple divorced after three years. Since then, Isabella Rossellini has been romantically linked with several other famous men, including Mikhail Baryshnikov, David Lynch, Gregory Mosher and Gary Oldman.

Isabella Rossellini is an avid environmentalist, and is involved in several organizations including Wildlife Conservation Network, The George Eastman House and The Central Park Conservancy.

1Often people who are against homosexuality attribute it to upbringing or culture and say that in nature it doesn't exist. But it does exist in nature and we don't really know why it exists. But maybe it's simply that we have attributed the act of sex just for reproduction, but that it also has other goals - social goals, hierarchy, bonding, family - like it is for us, really. None of us only mate or make love to reproduce.
2[on her one-woman show] I came up with the idea of 'Green Porno'', and the funny name came about because they had all these shows called 'Green Homes', 'Green Transportation' - all about environmental ways to live. So I said, as a joke, "Well, we don't have Green Porno", and the name stuck for better or for worse. It was very catchy, but we thought we could never find a sponsor. Some people are intimidated by it and they don't come. We tried to change it but it was too late. It was too catchy. Everything I do now is called 'Green Porno'.
3[on the Internet] The web is a double-edged sword. It has a huge potential for distributing content, creating contacts. There are a lot of advantages. The problem is that money is spent on technologies, not on content.
4I like to see a film where I don't need to look at the titles to know who did it, where one image is enough to say this is David Lynch, this is Alfred Hitchcock, this is Spike Lee.
5There's nothing wrong with modeling, except that it doesn't last. I had the stereotype most people have, that it's stupid, but it wasn't stupid at all. I loved spending a day with Richard Avedon. People who are so artistic, so intelligent -- you are interpreting what they are trying to express. You have taken a trip into this brain, you are a tourist in this fantastically interesting brain. People always say to me that I do such strange films, but it's not that I'm looking for something so different necessarily, it's simply that I meet a person who strikes me as intelligent and interesting and I want to take a trip into their brain.
6There is no question for me about the Electra complex. You know, exaggerated love of the father - I have it, or some version. I loved my mother, but I was my dad's girl.
7When I was hot as a model, I always knew my entire schedule for the next eight months in advance, every moment was planned and filled. And this lasted for 10 years!
8If you go to a therapist, they say, 'Are you sure? How do you feel about your wrinkles?' And I say, 'I don't know, because I don't really see them.' I see my hands, but I don't see my face, so it's not a torment. I only see it for five minutes in the morning when I brush my teeth! When you read women's magazines you always read about this drama of getting old, about anti-aging cream and plastic surgery and whatever else. But I think if you're independent, like I have grown to be, it's welcome.

31Virtually identical to her mother, Ingrid Bergman, but surprisingly had few opportunities to portray her mother in a biographical film. One occasion was an eerily accurate spoof of Ilsa Lund in an episode of Tales from the Crypt (1989). More recently, in the movie My Dad Is 100 Years Old (2005) for which she wrote the script, she did a moving portrayal of her mother.
32She suffered from scoliosis (progressive curvature of the spine) and underwent surgery to correct it. She was in a body cast for a year.

38Born at 6:07pm-CET.
